Gagosian Gallery
Partnering with art work heavyweights.
In a serendipitous combination of our love for art and books, we’ve had the good fortune to partner with Gagosian, an internationally renowned contemporary art gallery.
Phillip Taaffe
The Philip Taaffe exhibition featured a collection of elaborate works on paper with a psychedelic streak. Our design for the sumptuous hardbound catalog included a cloth cover, multiple paper stocks, and gatefolds showcasing details of the intricate works. For the cover, we conceived a half jacket that unfolds to become a poster, allowing us to print an entire drawing at actual size.
Pablo Picasso
The Picasso exhibit, Experiments in Linogravure, featured expressive linocuts created between 1959 and 1963. For the show’s catalog, we were inspired by out-of-print art books from the '60s, creating a “logotype” for the title with a custom typeface. The oversize scale was carried throughout the book and the supporting materials, resulting in an instantly recognizable graphic identity for the show.
