Paris Cafe & Lisbon Lounge

The Jet Age according to Jean-Georges Vongerichten at the TWA Hotel

An icon of mid-century design, Eero Saarinen’s TWA Flight Center has been restored and reinvented as the TWA Hotel, complete with a sunken lounge and push-button phones. When acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten reopened the cafe and lounge, he needed a modern identity that still remained true to the period.

Mucca’s  branding of the Paris Cafe and Lisbon Lounge recalls the glamour of air travel in the Jet Age with a custom retro typeface and a loving reboot of the original logos. Now the twin spaces are serving world-class cuisine and cocktails with a side of nostalgia.
